Otis Day's Blog-A-Doodle-Doo

So I snuck down to Lori's office to steal some of her candy.  She has the best candy of anyone in the building.  It's gotten so bad, that sometimes when we come here on the weekends, the kids cry because her office is closed and we can't get the candy.  When she first started she used to buy all that fancy crap that you eat with a glass of wine.  Like dark chocolate ball things filled with liquor flavored crap.  I told her, "Just get some butterfingers, twix, sweetarts...come on, this isn't the big city!"  She obliged, and her office has become a meeting place ever since.  We have motion lights in the building, and her's is always on because even when she's not there....we all go in and grab a lil' somethin' somethin.

I just got back and realized one of the Twix bars I got was already opened. 

I'm not sure.  For one thing...she has tons of these, so I could just go get another.  But my Stepdad would be so mad(He owned a small grocery store for years....we always ate dented cans, brown banana's, and anything opened.)  How many people have come in contact with it since it was made?  It's not like a greeting card where everyones touching it every day.  It's been in a bag sealed up till she put them in her candy dish.  So......Eat it er no?

Marquette's coach Buzz Williams has got some moves.  The 37 year old coach of the year candidate walked it out after a slam dunk save.  Passion for the game....running down the sideline doing a silly dance in front of the entire world(Thanks Youtube!)

Missed it?  Here ya go.  Wow....he hasn't decided yet?  Really?  Who would have thought that?

38 Vehicles involved in a major pile-up on Highway 41 North, near 55 in Kaukauna this morning.  13 people hurt...but amazingly...none of them serious!  Here's to slowing down and driving right for conditions.  They expect 41 to open this afternoon.

You know we humans have amazing balance.  We also are the only animals that know we're gonna die one day.  Which is why I can easily balance and run on a street curb with no problem...but put that sucker 5 or 10 feet up in the air(ala a balance beam) and I can barely take a step without falling.  It's because I understand the danger. 

So explain THIS guy.  On the edge of a cliff riding a dirt bike.  No thanks...I'll stick to riding my bike at the gym where I can watch TV while I surf the web from my Droid.  I don't want to die.

Woman goes back to work for the first time in 30 years.  If you're under 25 this won't make much sense.

Thank you guys so much for your help this year raising money for the Polar Plunge 2010.  This year 1,876 plungers raised nearly $380,000 for Special Olympics!

I'm not sure what's more embarrassing....being seen with Lady Gaga in this terrible out fit....or being photograped holding her purse in front of a delivery truck out back of a resturant.  If you're going to sneak out the back door....wearing a regular hat may help.  You know...throw your hair up in a pony tail and put on a baseball cap.  But a hat that appears to made out of the hind legs of an antelope isn't helping.  Let's look at more of Lady Gaga's wonderful hat collection.  I'd love to see the hat boxes they come in.

And here's my favorite one.....there's actually no hat at all.  Just a crazy hair stylist.  "No no...I just wanted a little off the top!"

The Polar Plunge 2010 video is gonna be HUGE!  So big...it's taking a bit longer than expected to get edited and online for you too see.  I want to assure you that I DID infact jump.  I raised over $2600 dollars for special olympics...thanks to you guys.  We hope to have the video done and ready early next week.  Sorry for the delay.  The teases maybe will keep you hanging in there.  If you didn't see the first tease...here ya go!

This is quite inspiring.  The theme of the song is the title....WE are the world.  But in each version, there really wasn't a representation of US.  The people that live, breathe, eat, work, love, laugh, cry, fight, struggle, overcome, and try again in the actual world.  THIS video sure feels more like we are actually the world.  Kudo's for the thought, time, and effort put into this version...what I will now call the perfect version of "We Are The World."

I'm a sensitive guy.  I cry at Extreme Makeover Home Edition.  I liked The Notebook.  Michael Buble is good.  But these guys make me look lame.  They are the ultimate softies.  English men, in a bar(?), singing Savage Garden.  Sorry man...I can't compete with that!
